How to play
Some words carry a smaller synonym of themselves, spelled in order among their own letters โ kangaroo words. The hidden synonym is the joey. Your job, once a day, is to find it: tap or type the letters of the joey, in order, inside the word that hides it. BLOSSOM hides BLOOM.
Three rounds
Warm-up. One word, and it is a kangaroo. Three tries to pick out its joey.
The hunt. Three words. Only one is a kangaroo; the other two are decoys. Five tries, shared across the board โ spend them on the wrong word and there are fewer left for the right one.
The deep end. The hunt again, harder. Longer words, better-hidden joeys, five tries.
Every round ends the same way: the true story of where the day's word came from.
Misses
A miss spends a try and volunteers nothing โ the game keeps its counsel about which word hides the joey. But misses are still evidence: two misses on the same word prove it a decoy, and it goes cold. The word that hides the joey never goes cold.
Hints
Hints are free โ help is not punished. They arrive in a fixed order: first the joey's length appears in the pouch; then one decoy can be sent cold; last, a meaning clue. The answer is never named.
The share grid
One row per round, one square per try โ โฌ a miss, ๐ฉ the catch. It carries no spoilers, so it is safe to post. Streaks and stats live on your device; there is no account and nothing to sign up for.
